Two Eagles Lodge is centrally located for all of your Island fun.  With the conveniences of any small city—from Wal-Mart and Safeway to great little pubs—Courtenay is just 10 minutes away.

We are two hours from the west coast towns of Tofino and Ucluelet.  You'll enjoy some of the prettiest driving you can ever do through mountains and by our favorite lakes—Lake Cameron and Kennedy Lake.

We are two hours north of Victoria and awesome Butchart Gardens (not to be missed).

And, whale watching and the gems of the north Island are just over two hours away.

Our central location makes us the perfect place to call "home" while you explore the Island and discover all there is to enjoy.

are just 2 hours away.

Whale Watching with Stubbs in Telegraph Cove—just three hours away from Two Eagles Lodge and definitely worth the drive.  (Last time we went, we saw bears, elk, and a cougar as we drove north).

And, the Jacques Cousteau Society ranks Vancouver Island as second in the world for scuba—highlighting the Island for marine diversity and water clarity.  Union Bay Dive Shop is just minutes away and will have you under water in no time!

It’s a myth!  We don’t live in igloos or have very cold winters!  To the contrary, Vancouver Island, despite being so far north, has very temperate weather all year long.  With an average daytime temperature above 40 degrees (farenheit), it seldom freezes!

For those who do want a winter get-away,  world-class skiing with tons of incredible snow is 30 miles away—and a pretty drive, at that.  Whether you ski downhill or cross-country, snowshoe, or just enjoy a short drive to the mountain, a winter-wonderland is just 30 minutes away from our seaside home.  Check out www.MtWashington.ca for more details!
